On 21 June 2017, the ecbi director was interviewed by the Czech economics daily "E15", in the margins of the Prague Climate Talks, where he gave a keynote speech on the need for Europe to demonstrate renewed leadership in the international climate change regime after the withdrawal from the Paris Agreement by the Trump administration, at the Prague Climate Talks in Prague.

Following the themes of the keynote, the interview centered around the impact of the Trump administration on the international climate change regime, in particular on the implementation of Paris Agreement and climate finance, as well on international leadership needed both from Europe and China.
